C31 – Hunting the Swordtooth Tiger!
Lee Tian couldn’t help but be amused when the Scarface Swordtooth Tiger challenged him to a one-on-one battle. He had been fretting over the possibility of facing an onslaught from the entire pack. How would he have handled them all?
Yet, to his surprise and delight, the Scarface Swordtooth Tiger stepped forward, eager for a solo duel.
The tiger was certain of its victory. “Everyone, step back and watch how I dispatch this puny ant!” it boasted, clearing the area for the impending showdown.
With a ferocious leap, the Scarface Swordtooth Tiger lunged at Lee Tian, its claws swinging down with the force of sledgehammers, intent on shredding him to bits.
The onlooking Swordtooth Tigers watched with detached confidence, fully trusting in Scarface’s prowess. They seemed to anticipate the sight of the black ant being viciously torn apart by their comrade.
But as Scarface’s claws raked across Lee Tian, they merely scraped and screeched against his tough hide, much like a kitten’s futile scratches on a pane of glass. It was common knowledge that kittens can’t break glass.
The tiger’s claws were no match for Lee Tian’s armor; not a single mark was left. “How is this possible?” Scarface’s eyes bulged in shock. In such a brief moment, had the black ant transformed?
Lee Tian, enduring the Scarface Swordtooth Tiger’s assault, seized the opportunity to test his resilience. Clearly, not even the mightiest of Mortal Beasts could harm him.
With a smirk, he fixed his gaze on the bewildered tiger and said icily, “Had enough scratching? Now it’s my turn to strike!”
After he finished speaking, he raised his two scythes and rubbed them together, creating a sharp sound of blades being honed.
The Scarface Swordtooth Tiger recoiled in shock. “You’re a Spirit Beast!”
Lee Tian gave a cold snort. “Correct. And now, you die!”
The Scarface Swordtooth Tiger bellowed to its kin, “Brothers, stop just watching! Attack together and let’s finish it off!”

Lee Tian was swift. He targeted one of the wounded Swordtooth Tigers, launching a fierce attack and breaking free from the encirclement.
These Swordtooth Tigers bore fresh wounds inflicted by Zhou Yuyan, making them easily identifiable.
Seeking vengeance on Lee Tian with their injuries still raw, they hadn’t anticipated his formidable strength.
Their misfortune was evident.
Lee Tian swiftly dispatched the more severely wounded Swordtooth Tiger.
