Sebastian was alarmed by this notification even as he was already suffering the effects of the 2 skills that were used by the Mana Lord.

The effects of the mind-controlling waves were extremely annoying. This was a psychological skill that messed with his mind, sometimes leaving him in an irritated mood, an excited mood, depressed, or even horny.

This was a horrifying skill that Sebastian already dreaded just from his first encounter with it. It messed with his mind so much that his concentration was affected, proving how useful a skill it was already.

While the mind-controlling waves was psychological, attacking the mind, the Void Breath of the Mana Lord skill was direct like his Breath of the Sound Megalodon skill.

This skill revealed the strength of the Mana Lord to Sebastian, perhaps it was a trump card skill, but it was still horrifying as it directly took more than 10% of Sebastian's health in one go.

From this, Sebastian already deduced that this Mana Lord was at the very pinnacle of the purple tier realm.

The skill was like the fire breath of a Fire Dragon while at the same time being like Sebastian's breathing skill, the only difference was the essence of the skill.

While the Fire Dragon's breath was powered by fire and Sebastian's breath was powered by sound domain magic, the Mana Lord's breath skill was powered by the energy of the void which Sebastian did not understand.

It was not space magic; it was a yellow energy that seemed to come from a world that was different from Oceania and its nature was extremely aggressive.

This breath attack dealt both physical and magic damage to Sebastian.

Sebastian swept the area with his sensing skill but found nothing.

If it was a Chaos Monger that attacked him, Sebastian would not have minded it but a Mana Lord attacking him was an entirely different matter.

He was confused, the rules never stated that contestants could attack each other. After his first encounter with the speed test, he was careful enough to read all the rules of the strength test that he was sure that he didn't miss anything.

So, what was this rough play from a wayward Mana Lord?

Sebastian was not someone who was content with simply asking rhetorical questions, while still focusing on his surroundings while being more alert for anan ambush, he tried to think over what exactly was happening.

It took him about a minute, but he arrived at a pattern.

The rules didn't state it, but they also didn't prohibit it. Unlike him, these Mana Lords have probably watched other induction ceremonies like these as spectators so they probably understood this test far better than him.

For this Mana Lord to attack him, then his best guess was that the Mana Lord was sure that it was not prohibited.

Also, his mind went to tournaments like this in his previous life that he's watched in movies. In fantasy movie scenarios like this, the unspoken rule was that by defeating a fellow contestant, you can take all his points.

At this moment, he already amassed 70 points from his 4 Chaos Monger kills in just a few minutes when the test just started.

Sebastian didn't know about other contestants, but having experienced the strength of the Chaos Mongers first hand, he knew that his performance was probably close to the top if not at the very top of contestants already.

Taking this train of thought, he finally understood, this Mana Lord saw him as a fruit ripe for the taking and planned to exploit his points.

Immediately after Sebastian arrived at this, the hiding Mana Lord attacked.

To Sebastian's shock, this massive beast was just beside him. Unknowing to him and his senses, this beast was hiding beside him since without him knowing, now he paid for his ignorance.

Before Sebastian could react, the numerous tentacles of the massive Kraken-like Mana Lord who was more than 3 times more enormous than he was already covered him up in a cocoon.

In this cocoon, the tentacles whipped the hell out of him.

To Sebastian's shock, this Mana Lord also wielded chaos magic, his tentacles were all tainted with them as they dealt massive damage to Sebastian.

Once Sebastian understood his circumstances though, he no longer remained idle. He retaliated against his opponent with much bravado.

[You have activated unique skill: Doppelganger and Invisibility!]

[You have created 5 doppelgangers!]

[You have activated ability: Invisibility!]

"You can wrap me up, but I have other bodies that can attack you from outside. Also, I can turn invisible too, even better than you".

Sebastian spat this at his opponent as he disappeared from her grasp the next moment, then his 5 doppelgangers attacked without restraints.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The tentacles of the Mana Lord immediately retracted on being attacked as they perfectly protected her main body, before she delegated the rest to retaliate.

The Mana Lord also went all out.

[You have been attacked by a skill: Reality Distortion!]

This Mana Lord proved to be a menace as she attacked Sebastian in a frenzied manner. Apart from her tentacles wreaking constant havoc, her chaos magic kept on blasting on all corners, spreading constant destruction.

Both predators went head-to-head, bleeding each other's health.

Sebastian saw another tough battle in his hands again that forced him to go all out. He kept on blasting out with skills, while his opponent also blasted back at him. He came to a conclusion from this battle, Mana Lords were freaks!

Like Space Beasts, Mana Lords, Pugilist Kings, and other predator species that heralded the evolution routes were also blessed by the origin essence.

Being blessed by the origin essence, it was inevitable for them to be also OP.

For 5 straight minutes, Sebastian and the female Mana Lord kept on going at each other until the Mana Lord decided to take it a step further.

At this point, both of them were already extremely injured but they were not tired yet. They still had the energy and enthusiasm to go at each other for a lot more minutes, but this was not a duel, they were here for a test.

The Mana Lord roared for the first time before speaking.

"Killer Move: Mana Bomb!"

Once Sebastian heard this term from the Mana Lord, his danger senses tingled like he was being tickled, and this was his signal to also go all out.

After a long time of not using it, Sebastian blasted out with his killer move.

"Killer Move: Ancient God's Blast!

Both were mana intensive killer moves, but both predators had unlimited mana, and this brought the contest back to the power of the killer moves.

Once they were activated, they collided in just a few seconds.

BOOM!

Both attacks ground at each other, trying to wither the defenses of the other, and while all these happened, the bright light and explosion of power already scrambled all of Sebastian's senses.

With an extremely loud booming sound, the Mana Bomb was overpowered as Sebastian's killer move continued forward to annihilate the Mana Lord.

Before the Mana Lord could be hit, it was teleported out of the forest.
